Lying Pirates is a first-to-finish dice game for 2-6 players. A thrilling race for the pirate throne which lasts 10-15 min/player.
The mechanics are inspired by the classic game of liar's dice. We've taken the best parts and combined them with some new twists and turns to give you an experience that is fast, entertaining, and easy to play with tiles, action cards, special dice, and more.
We created more than 200 hand-drawn components, all have a unique style that make every piece a delight to linger upon. All illustrations from tiles to coasters were crafted by Srdjan Vidakovic, an award-winning artist and designer from Serbia.
Thanks to interchangeable tiles, there are over a million different ways to create your own sea map. Once you've mastered the game, you can rebuild the sea and set sail again. Every game is unique and full of surprises.

Dear backers,
We hope you are healthy and happy. We wanted to share some updates with you!
The bad news:
We have fallen a bit behind our initial schedule. When we started the campaign and had our timeline we did not take into account all the extra stretch goals that we created along the way. That being said, we are not far behind schedule!
The good news:
The rulebook has been proof read but amazing John Walsh and is outstandingly good by now.
The Geeky Pen will soon start translating the rules too into German, French, Italian and Spanish as promised.
The Tuck Box design is also done, below is a picture of it!
The bamboo cups are ordered and the pre-production samples are being prepared.
Micro adjustments in rules are being implemented to increase your influence.

Hey, Pirates!
The time has come to make your way over to the pledge manager to get your games shipped. You’ll be able to select what language you want and extend your order for 20% off every extra game purchased. The pledge manager will be open until 10 January 2023, so you’ll have plenty of time to prepare your order, but you must complete the survey before the deadline.
The link to the pledge manager survey (from Backerkit) has been sent to the email you used to back the Kickstarter campaign. If you've not received it yet, please check your spam folder. If you didn't receive the email you can enter your Kickstarter email here: https://lyingpirates.backerkit.com/
Because of the low demand for the base game variant, we decided not to include this purchase option in the pledge manager; we hope this will result in an even faster production so that we can get the game into your hands as soon as possible. Those of you who pledged for it will be able to keep it or upgrade to the Deluxe version.

Ahoy, pirates!
A month has passed since we last saw each other at sea and we miss you all! Just a heads-up: we’ll be opening up the pledge manager next week, giving you an update on production, and our illustrator Srdjan is working on some other goodies.
If you’re not familiar with how the pledge manager works, Cpt Lucas will make a short video explaining the simple steps you need to take :)
In the meantime feel free to ask us questions. We’ll be responding as quickly as possible so don’t hesitate!
