Lying Pirates is a first-to-finish dice game for 2-6 players. A thrilling race for the pirate throne which lasts 10-15 min/player.
The mechanics are inspired by the classic game of liar's dice. We've taken the best parts and combined them with some new twists and turns to give you an experience that is fast, entertaining, and easy to play with tiles, action cards, special dice, and more.
We created more than 200 hand-drawn components, all have a unique style that make every piece a delight to linger upon. All illustrations from tiles to coasters were crafted by Srdjan Vidakovic, an award-winning artist and designer from Serbia.
Thanks to interchangeable tiles, there are over a million different ways to create your own sea map. Once you've mastered the game, you can rebuild the sea and set sail again. Every game is unique and full of surprises.

Let's kick off the week with a quick recap
1. We smashed our stretch goal and added the Ghost Pack to all pledges. We also received some criticism from our early birds and newsletter subscribers. We want to show our appreciation by adding sleeves to your pledge for free.

Hi Pirates!
We're so excited to share the news that we've closed our survey and can finally release two new languages! 🇩🇪🇫🇷
We know you've been waiting patiently while we collected your feedback, and we want to thank you for all of your support. The rule book and cards will now be available in English, German and French. You'll be able to choose what version you want in the pledge manager.
We can't wait to get these out to you so you can start playing with your friends and family but don't forget that this is only the beginning. Rumors say there might be more languages coming soon…
The Italian 🇮🇹 and Spanish-speaking 🇪🇸 regions are not forgotten, and we would love to see more people interested in your languages before we commit fully. We can reach this goal together if you spread the word to friends, family, and other distributors. Let's make it happen!
Next stretch goal: As a gift to all of the backers out there who have supported us throughout this campaign, the Ghost Pack will be included for free when we reach 2 million SEK. (The Ghost Pack will only be available in this print run, and will never be reprinted.)

I just wanted to let you know what we’ve been up to these last few days. We’ve been focusing on stretch goals, and it’s been tough—our game is already of high quality, so no quality upgrades have been needed. Here is some of what you can expect from the Lying Pirates the Deluxe Edition.

The Deluxe version of the game comes in at a whopping 2,5 kg (5,5 lbs). We want you guys to feel like you are a Pirate in Tortuga, gambling with your booty! Quality to us enhances how immersive a game is and we know that we ourselves prefer to play Deluxe versions of different games—that’s how the creators intended for you to have the best experience. The same goes from us to you.
